Chantilly cream is a lightly sweetened and sometimes flavored whipped cream. It is perfect for accompanying many desserts, adding an extra touch of indulgence. The recipe is simple: whip liquid cream, a little powdered sugar, and optionally a hint of vanilla until you obtain a light, airy, and fluffy preparation. To succeed in making chantilly, it is important to properly chill the cream and utensils before starting.

Utensils
1 bowl1 whisk1 piping bag1 household robot
Ingredients for 6 parts
- 3 ml. powdered sugar
- 25 ml. cream
- 1 c. à s. vanilla sugar
Steps
- Place the utensils (container, whisk) in the freezer or refrigerator.
- In a second container (or a sink), pour cold water up to halfway and add ice cubes.
- Place the first container in the one with ice cubes and pour in the liquid cream. Start beating for 1 minute. The cream will start to foam gradually.
- Mix the sugars and optionally the chantilly fixer packet, then add them to the cream.
- Beat the cream vigorously for several minutes. It should take about 7 to 10 minutes, but half the time if using chantilly fixer or an electric beater.
- The chantilly cream is ready as soon as a small peak called a "bird's beak" forms when the whisk is removed. Adjust the sugar to taste.
- All that remains is to place the chantilly cream in a piping bag to beautifully garnish all your desserts. Guaranteed effect!
