Steps

  1. Beat the sugar and eggs for a long time.
  2. Add the warm milk to the eggs. Flavor with vanilla by adding the scraped ½ vanilla bean.
  3. Strain through a fine sieve and pour into a caramelized mold.
  4. Preheat the oven to 160°C (th. 6). Place the mold on a baking sheet and add hot water around it.
  5. Bake in a water bath in the oven for 30 minutes (extend cooking time if necessary).
  6. Let cool for 2 hours before unmolding.
